The tranquillity found here perfectly contrasts the hustle and bustle of the city and it’s one of the best places for fall foliage. Boston Public Garden in the months of October and November is an oasis in the city centre and the perfect place to take in a stunning display of autumn colour in every shade of orange, gold, ochre and russet. New England in the fall is on many a bucket list and you don’t need to leave the city to find some spectacular fall foliage. We had a great time learning all about Boston’s colourful history. En-route, we learnt about Boston’s rich history and its role in the American Revolution. Our local guide, ‘Jeremiah’, wearing traditional costume, was incredibly passionate about Boston’s history which he brought alive and also delivered with a good measure of humour. The tour covers all the major sights of the Freedom Trail, including the Boston Massacre site, the Old State House, Granary Burying Ground and Faneuil Hall to name a few.
